I'm...
... sorry that I only look for You when I feel like this. And that's almost always the case, isn't it? The way you just take things for granted, and then suddenly you realise that you should've gotten your priorities straight. But hey, I'd rather not have yet another obscure, sad post. Well, the obscurity I don't mind so much. Sometimes it's nice to have my closest friends actually ask me what I go on about, which makes me think that I am either:
a) a mysterious creature whose grasp of the many intricacies of the English language enable me to compose an alternate reality [insert gasps of awe here]; or
b) I don't tell everyone everything.
And sadly for my ego and her desire to amaze everyone with her literary prowess, it's actually the latter choice.
It's not so much that I don't trust people; I do. Well, a handful of people, really. But I don't really... divulge that much personal information with any one person. I mean, I tell people things, I talk about things, but that's really the problem for me, because when you're talking to someone, you have to make sense, or else you just end up being known as the weird chick who talks in nonsensical sentences. Which, by the way, would be quite a good time to wear a green bodysuit with question marks all over it.
... I'll look into that.
When I write, I tend to use commas and semi-colons liberally, but it's because I write the way that I speak. It's not so much that I write to tell people how I feel; this is merely an outlet for myself, because sometimes God knows I can't make heads or tails about the myriad of things that go on in my mind. I don't attempt to be obscure when I am; I just am. The words, the syntax, they make sense in my mind but only up to the point where I don't think about them. The moment I do, they seem to launch into a whirlpool and my eyebrows disappear into my hairline.
Oh, and as blasphemous as this might seem, I don't really re-read the posts that I've written, just because when I've written something down, it seems much clearer to me, so I don't bother reading them again. So I know I make grammatical errors every now and then, but just think of it as a crime of passion, the little trips and stumbles you take when you're skipping through a field of sunflowers.
Ah I love sunflowers.
I guess what I'm saying is... it's nice to not have to make sense.
Love love love.
Special shoutout to Sumi, whom I think might be my first "fan"
follower on Twitter :D And thank you to the random stranger who posted that very insightful question on
my Formspring, please keep them coming.
