Where...
... on earth has the time gone? Uni started yesterday and joy of all joys, I ended up with all my lectures being at night, so Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays I get to enjoy my 15-minute walk home at 9-ish. Which isn't too bad, I suppose, but being a lone lady I'm a bit iffy with having to walk alone. The past few weeks have been... semi-nonexistent, I suppose. I keep wanting to write, and mind you I do have things to write about, but what with my Internet being cut off for another few weeks, I can't. And when I do have access to Internet here at the uni library, I feel utterly uninspired.
Needless to say, my homesickness is starting to pour in, especially since my body clock is being quite the masochist and making me wake up at 6AM when I don't even have to, since my earliest tutorial is at 2:30PM.
Bitch.

I've always taken great care to not mention any of my significant others in my entries, something that my most recent man has mentioned accompanied with slight wonderment and I suppose, hurt, on his part. And it's not that I'm not happy or proud, since obviously I wouldn't have them gracing my life with their presence if they don't make me happy; I guess it's just the fact that partners, particularly what with the somewhat blase approach people take with relationships these days, are somewhat... disposable. I just rather not mention names, and if or when things should, God forbid, take a turn for the worse, I should have my life, and his, being hassled by people.
Besides, it's not like I keep a low profile about it outside of this blog, so really it shouldn't be that big of an issue. And yes, I do downplay my characteristic announcement, shall we say, of emotions here quite a bit (insert gasp and disbelief), and again that has to do with the IF factor up there. I suppose this is my idea of being proactive.
Haha.
But then again, I'm giving this long-distance relationship a try. So there's a first for everything.
I've just finished reading Sarah Mason's "Playing James" and "Party Season", which honestly wasn't the most enthralling read at first but as it goes on it does manage to wrap itself around you. It was pretty interesting to read about how volatile relationships are when you're younger (and when I say young, I mean from the moment you realies cooties aren't really a bad thing after all, wink wink). I suppose it was silly of me to think that most relationships are effortless, but considering most of my friends seem to melt into their significant others, I always wondered why my relationships are pretty much the bipolar version of theirs. Maybe I've always thought of myself as being the rock, the more reliable, stable half, but who am I kidding; I love being swept away by bursts of emotion, and although I do have to admit that this recent relationships taught me how to be much more patient, I'm still not one to back down if I honestly believe I'm innocent.
All I want to do right now is curl up on my sofa, dig into a tub of vanilla-cookie-dough icecream (which is by the way, heaven in a bowl), and watch Oprah.
Have a nice week (:
