I...
... have been scouring Google Images for a picture that would serve justice to the current state of my recently-deceased vertical tragus piercing, but so far I can't find any; and since I've been staying over at a friend's place I can't gross my camera out, so I suppose you'll just have to take my word for it. My claims that getting it still holds true, but I'm guessing the pain that comes with the growing-out process probably makes up for it, particularly since it's made sleeping on my side a bit of a bitch. The past few weeks I've been trying to (carefully) unscrew the barbell, but for some reason it was just stuck, and silly me, I didn't bother asking my piercer to help. Some of you (lucky) people may not be familiar with the stages it entails (and truthfully, neither was I until this happened), but it basically starts of looking like this:

I won't pretend I know the specific details of the process, but in my case, at least, it looked it my skin was slowly being torn, hence giving the appearance the of barbell growing/lengthening.

By the time last night rolled around, the space of skin between the two ends of the barbell had gone down from about 15mm to a mere 5mm, so imagine that picture up there, but worse. I had attempted to unscrew the barbell yet again, and whoops...

the whole thing come off in my hand: I had torn my piercing out.

Surprisingly, it didn't hurt, but the area where my darling piercing had been for the past 6 months looked pretty damn gross. Would I get another one? Yes, since despite the trouble it's given me as of late, it was relatively easy to take care of; next time I'll just have to take note which side I can unscrew, or even better, remember to change it to a shorter bar when it's healed.

8 days to the big Two-Oh. Will hopefully be spending it in the comfort of the people I love. You know who you are.

(:

No...
... need to get into a hissy fit, sweetheart, I'm not interested.

Nostalgia's a beautiful thing. And I'm glad I had someone to walk with me through memory lane tonight. Those last two weeks, still one of the best times I've had in a long time.

Despite the lack of people begging me to update, I have a feeling someone's been waiting for me to start writing again. Truth is, I can't seem to find anything to write about, and am obviously now going to write about how I have nothing to write. Which is pretty retarded, so screw that.

It's taken me a bit longer than I expected, but the whole process of settling down is finally... well, settling down. Guess Lopez was right, this really is the time where you meet people you'll probably be friends with for the rest of your life, I just didn't expect it to be such a select few, as yet. First few months and the drama chart's already imploded; thing is about drama, at least in my perspective, is that it's so much more entertaining when you're actually involved in it, as opposed to being someone that an acquaintance runs to for help. Or maybe that's just my boredom talking.

Well, actually I wouldn't want to be in the direct line of fire, unless it's another lady stealing my photos and pretending to be me. At least it makes for a great conversational piece, since my old "my-friend-didn't-know-how-to-turn-the-headlights-on" bit is becoming a little stale (I can hear your sigh of relief, Ana). I mean, boy-girl-or-boy-girl-girl-or-boy-boy-girl trouble, that's no fun. They make for interesting anecdotes, true, but the line between joking and bitching in those situations is quite the mirage (especially the boy-girl-girl cases): you see it, but it's not really there.

But in any case, yes, I'm still alive. And I'll be back once my brain decides it's not supposed to degenerate for another few decades.

I...
... won't disclose the whole document for discretionary purposes, but:

What happens when you don't fasten your seat belt in the car. I'd forgotten that this rule also applies to passengers in the back seat, since the times I spend in a friend's car, or even a taxi, span far and few; it's not exactly the best way to start the day, particularly since it was the first official day of the ASEAN Uni Games. But it was my own mistake, so ah well, there goes the majority of my allowance this month. Later that night my friends and I did take a taxi, and when we passed by a police car I started feeling somewhat paranoid :B Ironically, I belong in the minority of my circle who actually wear their seatbelts in Brunei, albeit when I'm in the driver or passenger's seat.

About 2 months before I step on Bruneian soil, woot :D
